Circuit Bending w/ (un)repair cafe
Always wanted to bend a circuit but don’t know where to start? Join us at Klankschool for a hands-on circuit bending evening any Thursday in November! No experience required. We’ve got enough* tools, toys, hacks and mods to get you started and are happy to show you the ropes. But (if you have) bring your own goodies! Obscure guitar pedals? Plastic kalimba? 6 screws and a rubber band? Shit microphone? lets get weird, lets get noisy.
*You can take your instrument home, but there’s a limited supply of toys. OR leave your instrument at klankschool and start your own LO-FI band here?
Things that you can make/learn/share
Repairing toys (Most of the toys we have require a little bit of maintenance)
Soldering!
Circuit bending
We've got a few tricks up our sleeve to get crazy sounds out of battery powered toys, and are happy to show you. For the hardcore nerds we've got a few trigger circuit PCB's that'll put any toy on acid.Dealing with disappointment
Not every toy is bendable, and some things are just meant to stay off.Recording samples for your next dj gig, radio show or shoegaze E.P.
Video bending (We've never tried this before but someone will be doing some video bending, let's see how it goes)
Everything is free, but donations (money, food, batteries, tools, equipment) are always welcome
The "regular" (un)repair cafe is still open
